Comprehensive Transport Cooperation and Financial Cooperation for Pan-Pearl River Delta Region

The 2012 Comprehensive Transport Cooperation Consultation and the Conference for Local Financial Cooperation and Reform for the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region were held in August in Haikou. Officials from relevant departments and representatives from "9 + 2" provinces and Special Administrative Regions (SARs) discussed issues concerning the integrated development for regional transport, including constructing a safe and efficient transportation system and upgrading the supply chain network as well as the logistics information service within the region. They also exchanged ideas on stimulating financial innovation, integrating pertinent resources, exploring an efficient financial supervision model, and strengthening the system of social credit. Representatives from the "9 + 2" provinces and SARs signed the comprehensive transport cooperation agreement and a strategic cooperation agreement for facilitating township banks, micro-credit companies, financial leasing companies, equity investment funds, asset management amongst others.
